Successful Grant!

First United Church has been awarded a $15,000 Ontario Anti-Hate Security and Prevention Grant.

These provincial grants aims to combat hate in Ontario and build stronger, safer and more inclusive communities. This grant is in response to a the recent rise in hate incidents in Ontario. We are eleigible because we have connections with the serveral of the groups that have been targets of such incidents.

The grant could be used to enhance or implement protection measures (for example - making building upgrades, enhancing locks, installing cameras, training staff, completing security assessments, introducing safer cybersecurity measures, hiring professional security, making repairs)
