On Jan 26, 2025, First United opened its doors to host a vibrant Intercultural Lunch and Learn in collaboration with the Ukrainian community. The event was a beautiful tapestry of culture, tradition, and connection, celebrating the rich heritage of Ukraine through food, music, dance, and storytelling.

The church hall buzzed with warmth and fellowship as guests gathered to share a delicious spread of traditional Ukrainian cuisine, including borsch, perogies, and freshly baked bread. The aroma of home-cooked dishes filled the space, inviting everyone to taste and experience the flavours of Ukrainian hospitality.

Beyond the meal, attendees were treated to Ukrainian folk songs and dances, performed with joy and enthusiasm. The rhythmic melodies and graceful movements brought the room to life, offering a glimpse into centuries-old traditions. Handcrafted Ukrainian textiles, embroidery, and cultural artifacts were also on display, fostering deeper appreciation and conversation about the richness of Ukrainian heritage.
