Waterloo Mayor Dorothy McCabe will present her thoughts about Waterloo's challenges, opportunities and ambitions on Thursday, May 2 from 7am - 9 am at an event at Lazaridis Hall at Wilfrid Laurier University. This is a fundraiser by Rotary Waterloo with proceeds going to SHOW, Supportive Housing of Waterloo. Besides wanting to support raising funds for SHOW, you may want to attend in support of one of our members at First who we know is very involved with SHOW and will be honoured at the event. oneROOF Youth Service
oneROOF Youth Services is once again hosting our annual National Youth week event and we need your help spreading the word!
Youth Week is a collection of events in support of oneROOF Youth Services, spanning the first week of May each year. Throughout the week, the young people who access oneROOF Youth Services have the opportunity to participate in a variety of unique programming, from special meal days to friendly games and sports tournaments. Each year, we close out Youth Week with a grand fundraising event, open to the public. You are welcome to attend our FREE Night Market & Concert, happening Friday, May 10th, 2024 6:00pm - 10:00pm. This fundraising event offers us the opportunity to connect with and support local businesses and artists while raising funds and awareness for oneROOF Youth Services.

The Annual Spirituality and Aging Seminar will take place on Friday, June 21st in-person and virtually at Conrad Grebel University College. Rev. Dr. Mark Roberts presents "From Problems to Possibilities: Faith Communities enabling those in the third third of life to flourish." This seminar challenges the narratives about elders in communities, churches, and society at large; exploring the role churches can play in empowering older adults. Ontario Mennonite Music Camp is a place where youth in grade 6-12 develop and enrich relationships, faith, musicality, and leadership in a fun and supportive summer camp environment.
